Hello, I’m Dan Mooney, Sponsorship Coordinator at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon. My role is connecting businesses with marketing opportunities across the fairgrounds while helping local companies grow their brand visibility through events and partnerships.

My career in events started with USA BMX, which first brought me to Redmond. I spent years traveling the country building Olympic-style BMX tracks and eventually served as editor of the organization’s magazine before settling here in 2011. Since then I have worked in marketing and design across Central Oregon, including roles with the Redmond Chamber of Commerce and Wild Ride Brewing.

In 2017 I founded Central Oregon Car Shows, producing events that brought hundreds of classic cars to downtown Redmond. The experience gave me valuable insight into event planning, sponsorship development, and community engagement. I later sold the company in 2022, and the shows continue today.

I also run my own company, Mooney Marketing, which I launched in 2018 to help businesses grow through website design and digital marketing. In 2020 I joined the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center, the very place that originally brought me to Redmond, and it has been incredibly rewarding to help grow partnerships at the facility.

When I am not working, you can usually find me hiking with my wife or snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor. I look forward to helping businesses grow and creating meaningful partnerships here at the Fairgrounds.
